The primary research interests comprise Gravitation and Cosmology. The main areas of our research are, Emergent Gravity paradigm, Recent acceleration of the Universe, Dark energy model and Neutrino Physics. Alternative theories of gravity is another current area. I am acting as the coordinator of the Inter-University Center for Kerala Legacy on Astronomy and Mathematics (IUCKLAM), also one of the coordinators of the IUCAA Center for Astronomy Research and Development (ICARD), CUSAT. I am currently holding the position of the Honorary director of Centre for Particle Physics, CUSAT.

I have taught both at the graduate and undergraduate levels. In recent years I have taught Gravitation, Cosmology, Astrophysics, Statistical Mechanics, Electrodynamics, Quantum Mechanics, some parts of Mathematical Physics.
